When it comes to corporate responsibility, Ford Motor Company is up there with the best of them. They have earned the title World’s Most Ethical Company® from the Ethisphere Institute for six consecutive years. In 2015 the CDP named Ford an A-List Leader in water conservation.

Among other recent announcements at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford revealed plans to bring 13 new hybrid and electric models to market by 2020.

The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) is a collaboration of electronics companies dedicated to improving human rights and environmental sustainability throughout their supply chains.

As a member, Ford will be responsible to identify and audit high-risk facilities, including supplier facilities, to ensure every link in the chain is held accountable for good basic working conditions and environmental responsibility.

"Ford is our first automotive company member," says EICC executive director Rob Lederer, "and we are looking forward to collaborating and building on its unique global experiences and supplier relationships, as well as the growing convergence between the automotive and electronics industries."
